...just a few of the words used to describe my latest project.
It certainly isn't my standard, normal or usual modis operandi,
but was so thoroughly enjoyable!
It will be a surprise for my daughter.
It was made from the scraps of the hexie quilt I am still working on. I knew this one would get to her much faster than the other!
I am calling it 'Working Nine to Five.'
I finished up last month's and this month's PFH blocks.
I used one of the stitch variations on the middle maroon flower. I like the way it came out using a variegated Valdani thread.
I changed this block slightly by substituting another twig of bittersweet.
The original had a large circle with a star in it.
We are getting down to the last two smaller blocks and
I am real anxious to start setting them.
I'll be working on hexies today...top of my WIP list.
Hope you find time today for sewing too.

Very cute quilt, Cheryl. Definitely not your usual style. :-) Your daughter will love it.
Love, love, love your flowers. Fabulous project.
I love your Nine to Five quilt top---Could you please tell me what sizes you cut the pieces. I belong to a mini group that makes donation scrap quilts and this looks like a quilt pattern we could use. Thank you for any info.
Your applique is so pretty. Beautiful stitches!
Love your PFH blocks, such great stitches. I bought the book, but that's as far as it's gotten!
Your wool blocks are well done. They are going to make a very nice quilt. The wool on cotton is something I love doing and I can tell you do too.
Love your wool blocks. What pattern is that, don't know what PFH stands for.

That quilt is definitely not your usual style, but isn't it fun to do something different once in awhile even if it's not your favorite type of quilt? I think so. It breaks things up a bit for me. Your daughter will love that quilt :-) Lovely Applique too!
